Hi! My name is Lina Abasi and I’m 14 years old. I live in Port Moody, BC, Canada and I go to Charles Best Secondary. My favorite subject is English because I love to read and write! I joined this butterfly effect project because I thought it seemed like a fun way to get involved in my community and I wanted to try all of the projects! I hope with doing this class I can grow my knowledge on things going on in the world and so something meaningful in my own life. One of my biggest passions is writing, I love creating stories in my free time and it’s one of my biggest hobbies. Some other things I like to do in my free time are read, figure skate, paint, act and spend time with my family and friends.
To me, global community is the world being brought together. In a global community people share a sense of togetherness and bonding over living on the same planet and taking care of it.
Currently I am the most interested in the story category of the butterfly effect because of my love of writing and I think it will be an interesting project!
