About me; Axel Tu

My name is Axel Tu, I’m 13 years old and I’m currently a grade 9 student at Dr Charles best secondary school.
.Something I’m really passionate about is art and I’m trying to make my for a living one day. I have a draft for now but it’ll be a few years before it’s published. In short, it’s a manga parody that tackles some common youth issues with an allegorical power system. For example, the main character is able to hear others thoughts but can’t turn it off, no one believes him though. The drawings in this post are all mine and I hope that it would gain traction and reach the people it needs to.

The thing that brought me to butterfly is mostly to do research like for the inquiry projects, and for it to have a real tangible effect on other people, and that was extremely inspired by the theory channels formerly run by Matthew “Matpat” Patrick. The videos seem outlandish and absurd at first, but taught me things I never thought I would learn, such as if the grinch actually has misophonia and why that’s why he hates Christmas so much.
This is why I’ve chosen inquiry for my butterfly effect project.

I like to relax by drawing or playing some video games, but I don’t feel like I could relax if I hadn’t gotten all of my schoolwork done. Even if I did finish it I feel like if I’m not getting ahead I’m going to fall behind. That’s why I’m going to wake up at 4am because I watched one singular video about waking up at 4am. I would say that the word community means to me that there is a place where you belong. Granted, the larger the scale it becomes closer and closer to impossible that it is the same degree for everyone, such as in a family or to a larger scale a school club or a whole school. At least a few people in an extended family will be disconnected from the family for one reason or another, and in a school club or a whole school a significant portion of students will feel this way as well. It is important for a community as a whole to be able to improve to accomodate as many members as possible within reason. Of course, it depends on the individual and the reason for their exclusion and if it was a fault on their part. (if they were rude, disruptive, hurt others, etc.)
