Hello, my name is Joelle Lee. I am a 14-year-old student in grade 9 studying at Charles Best Secondary School. I live in British Columbia, Canada. My favorite subject is English, and although I am not in an English 9 class this semester, I am looking forward to it.
One thing that people are usually surprised by is that I have a large collection of candles, figurines, and pins. I like to collect things, so naturally over the course of 5 years I have collected many things, with my biggest collection being the ones mentioned prior. However, there are other small miscellaneous collections, such as origami paper, pins/badges, string, small plushies, bags, clips, phone cases, hats, keychains, and etc. The list goes on for a bit, but the rest are pales in comparison to the first three I’ve mentioned. The collection I am trying to grow currently are my keychains, because I really like putting them on random bags or giving them away. And I particularly like going to other countries to buy keychains as souvenirs, because that makes more interesting and rarer for me.
My passion is playing video games, especially the ones that you can pull for a character, they are called gacha games. I really enjoy playing video games because they help me relieve my stress. When I go home and don’t want to do my homework, I start playing video games. I really enjoy open world rpgs, as well as rhythm games.
If I could have any job in the world, I would like to be a lawyer or an office worker. I would like to be a lawyer because I believe that truth needs to be told, and I have a strong sense of justice. Therefore, I would be a lawyer to bring righteousness to my client, letting justice prevail. However, my second option would be a simple office worker because I am also striving for an average and ordinary life. I think working a 9-5 and having a daily routine is good, because there would be no unnecessary circumstances often coming up. Overall, I only really want a simple life with no trouble, but being a lawyer is the only job I would take to have a less mundane life.
The perfect best friend to me is someone who is able to relate to my humor, but also someone who is able to comfort and help me. Someone who is inspiring and kind, but also firm and respectable. They should be able to read the room and act accordingly. They do not have to be smart, but just willing to learn. They should be someone fun to talk to, and someone understanding of what’s happening.
The category of butterfly effect I am most interested in right now is story. I have always liked writing and researching, therefore, story is looking quite good for me. Thank you for reading.

Hey Joelle, I like that picture you’ve got up there. Reminds me of something I own too. What a coincidence! Anyways, I’d like to say that you have a great mindset, and you’re set to become a lawyer if you put your heart into it. But if I’m talking as your sister, I’d say to just go for the 9-5. You’re probably going to send someone to the electric chair since your sense of justice is too strong. Peace!
