Blog post #2: How the differences between the Canadian and U.S. education systems affect students’ learning outcomes and opportunities—My research plan

My first research question is, what are the differences between the Canadian and the United States education systems? This question will help me learn how and why education varies in these two settings. I will compare their academics and determine the differences, such as grading techniques, teaching methods, and curriculum expectations. Furthermore, this question will help me get closer to answering my main question, “How do the differences between the Canadian and the U.S. education systems affect students’ learning outcomes and opportunities?” as I will be able to identify the differences and see how some aspects from both these systems may give individuals a slight advantage for future success.

My second research question is, how do Canada and the United States provide a variety of opportunities for postsecondary education? This brings me back to my first question. Instead, I will be determining how those differences provide opportunities such as more college acceptances and a variety of career choices. My research will help me discover the numerous benefits that one can gain from the education system. Moreover, based on the opportunities given, it can guide the individuals to have more growth in their success. Studying this question will help me get closer to my main question, “How do the differences between the Canadian and US education systems affect students’ learning outcomes and opportunities?” because I will be able to see which system provides more advantages for the students, and the more advantages you receive, the greater impact it will have on your future.

My third research question is, how do the Canadian and United States education systems affect an individual’s career outcome? This question will help me explore how students’ outcomes can lead to a successful future based on the knowledge they receive. Additionally, these outcomes can create an atmosphere for individuals to constantly grow and gain from. Learning more about this question will help me get closer to my main question, “How do the differences between the Canadian and United States education systems affect students’ learning outcomes and opportunities?” as I will understand how education can impact one’s future career and will show which system best supports students throughout their learning journey.
