Blog Post #4 “Vision Journal Through The Years”

Hi everyone, this is my blog post #4. I’m going to research about my story project with evidence that support my post . It includes the climax, falling action and resolution.

Climax

Emotional Effects of Loss

The climax in my story is the moment when I lost my pets. Studies indicate that pets become a significant source of emotional security, comfort, and love for children in particular, but also for adults [1][2][4][5]. They also show that with the loss of a pet come many emotions: deep sadness, shock, and confusion [3]. In my story, this was the first time I went through the loss of one dear to me. This was the turning point at which I realized that there were great changes in my life, and everything didn’t last for eternity.

Falling Action

Adaptation to a New Environment

This emotional turning point is followed by the downward action of my gradual adaptation to life in Iquique. Adaptation, according to different studies, refers to the process by which people become accustomed to their new environments and routines [7]. Relocation during childhood may lead initially to stress, confusion, and emotional imbalance but may eventually make many children feel more stable as they come up with new routines and connections [6].

Family Growth and Emotional Support

A few months later, my brother was born, bringing joy to the whole family. This new stage of having my brother close would help me overcome difficult moments, such as the loss of my pets. Research into sibling relationships does show that such relationships may provide emotional support and, in turn, a positive influence on a child’s development [8].

Resolution

Growth through Loss and Change

By solving my narrative, I realized that migration and the loss of my dog brought about major changes in my life. These changes had a growth influence and developed me as a person [3][5].
