Hello everyone! We have finally been able to visit the elementary school to present about first aid and teach life saving survival skills. Alongside, we brought our energy and stickers to excite the children and entertain them. We were responsible leaders and made sure to ask the children questions to ensure that they fully understood our topic. We played games and answered their questions. A success we have had was communicating well with the children. We received multiple compliments on the way we presented and how engaged the children were. We talked calmly and always had smiles on our faces.
However, a challenge we have faced was not having our full team there to present. Golsa was unable to attend yet she still contributed her part. She helped create slides and find helpful videos to share with the children while Dara and I presented. We made sure to collaborate and work together as a team even when things didn’t work out or start to fall apart. A quote that kept us going was ” Unity is strength, when there is teamwork and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved” by Mattie Stepanek. This quote is very supportive in the idea of determination and hard work. We were very stressed out at first but realized that we had to take action and find a solution. Next we will be discussing as a group whether we would like to continue with this project our head a different path!
