Hi, welcome back to my blog post. For my second inquiry project, my question is, “How does social media negatively affect students’ work habits and their academic performances?”
I chose this question because social media has had a big impact on our society, especially on students. Although social media has many great uses for students, it can also harm their work habits and overall academic performance, and I want to know why. Learning more about this will help me become more aware of the tricks and propaganda strategies social media uses to draw individuals’ attention, so I can try to avoid them.
Another reason I am interested in this topic is that the amount of time people spend on social media continues to increase every year. Since many students, including myself, spend several hours online on social media each day, it is important to understand how this use of social media may cause distractions and affect our focus and how we can limit those distractions in order to succeed.
