The results that I got where not quite what I expected, I honestly thought that my values would have changed more since last semester, but they actually have remained the same. my three most important values where recognition, reliability and power my least important where Equality, responsibility and courage. Like last semester I feel as though the most important ones represent me fairly accurately, I find that these are traits I respect in people and desire in myself. Like reliability, I find I really appreciate this trait within my friends and others and would love to nurture this trait within myself. When it comes to power I definitely admire this trait in others but not in the way off condescending over bearing power more in the sense of a leader someone who knows the power they hold and use it for good. My last most important value was recognition, I really value recognition because I feel as though hard work and good deeds should not go unnoticed and that if someone worked hard for something they disserve to reap the benefits. For my least important values Equality, responsibility and courage, I find that these are not things that I don’t value so maybe it is a little inaccurate, but it is definitely correct in the sense that these are not my values, all though I do find I value equality in the sense of all being treated equal in a way that everyone gets the help they need.
After researching the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals multiple times I find t that number 11 sustainable cities and communities still stands the truest to me, the reason for that is when I think of a sustainable community my mind immediately goes to a high functioning city with all the other goals in mind. I feel as though having sustainable communities should always be a top priority for authoritarian members of our community for many reason, if we have self-sustaining cities we will be able to focus more of our attention on worldly problems rather than small community problems, with sustainable cities we will also be able to significantly lower our carbon footprint which will help our world to last for generations to come, the last thing is when I think of sustainable cities I think of a city with a lot of greenery and parcs which has been proven to help peoples mental health meaning not only will the planet be happier but so will our people. If you can’t tell this goal is also my passion, I would love to help make the world a more effective and sustainable place.
For my project I will be helping out with a historic society an provincial parc to help deepen the communities connection with the parc. How does this connect to my most valued goal?? My hope is that by increasing community involvement and knowledge of the parc people can grow their connection and knowledge of nature.
