BLOG POST#4 Should all schools follow the same type of education system globally for example American system.

No.1 How does education vary in different continents?

In this question I would like to understand different types of education systems in different continents. This will help me understand their impacts or effects on the lives of students across the continents.

We will look at how education in America/USA differs from others. Here are some of the differences of how education vary in different countries.

BRITISH VS AMERICAN.

The British system specializes in student with GCSEs and A-levels. Unlike the American system which has a wider curriculum with many electives.

AMERICAN VS EUROPEAN

European schools tend to have longer breaks, while there is less emphasis placed on their extracurricular activities. Additionally, European students study in one classroom compared to American who move from classroom to classroom.

CANADIAN VS USA

Critical thinking, rather than standardized testing is the point of focus in the Canadian system besides, the schools in Canada are considerably safer and grading in percentages is more prevalent than GPA

GERMAN VS US

Students completing their elementary schools are then tracked in Germany onto the vocational training or university preparation systems   established soon after. Unlike the American system which allows greater flexibility

AMERICAN VS UK

The UK introduces its students to specialization much earlier with A-levels and follows a more exam driven on the other hand the US combines broader education with more electives and standardized tests

AMERICAN VS KENYA.

Elementary education is compulsory in USA up to age of 16 however, in Kenya’s is free but not compulsory. Additionally, in the US pupils select what they want to learn right from primary level, but this is not the case in Kenya where all pupils they want undertake the same subject at primary level.

No.2 What sets the American education system apart from other education systems?

In this question I would like to gain information on the different types of education systems and how they differ from American system of education. This will aid me to understand the impacts of this system of education if there are negatively or positively in the lives of the students.

No.3 Is American system of education applicable in other societies?

For this question I would like to understand if this type of education system will be adapted at other different continents. What sets the American education system apart from other education systems?
