blog post three, social media presence

Hi everyone welcome to blog.

Where we are

I’ve made some advancements with our project on the museum department which is easier for me to work on than the rest of the group because I have family who lives on the island . The first thing that I have been working on is preparing for Ruckle park day. Ruckle park day is one of the biggest events on the island and by far the biggest event for the park, it’s a day to celebrate the parc rich history and accomplishments, like being the oldest working farm in BC! In preparation i have been doing some research and reaching out to the parks residents to find historic artifacts and furniture items to display in the museum.

Successes. As a group we have also been in contact with an environmental education expert and history enthusiast Brenda! She has let us have access to the un managed and un used Instagram this is a big win and responsibility for us as we now have a big role to play.
overall I would say our biggest success has been remodeling the Instagram to work better and look more appealing.

Overall our biggest challenge in my opinion has been trying to engage with a community that we do not live in. how are we dealing with this? In order to be more engaged with the community we have been staying in contact with people working for different societies and also trying to go over to build a closer in person bond.

Next, we would like to start engaging in the online community more with some posts on the Instagram and hopefully some stories. This will hopefully help people to get excited about the parks history and help them to appreciate the parc and environment more!

Thank you so much for reading my blog post
