My name is Chloe Mah and I am currently 15 years old; however, I will be 16 in October. I am a grade 11 student attending Charles Best Secondary School and I live with myself and four others. I live with my brother, mom, dad, and dog named Jumbo. One of my favorite subjects in school are science, this is because I feel like my future career will be in the science field. In my future, I hope to become a surgeon at a hospital, specifically a plastic surgeon that helps people with their appearance rather than cosmetics or a pediatric surgeon because a childs body is very different from an adults.
Something that many may not know about me is that I am very extroverted in some occasions. Depending on where I am, or who I am with, my personality seems to change. This can seem bad in some ways but I see it otherwise. Being broth extroverted and introverted is very helpful especially when it benefits me in situations. Some of my passions include baking, sports, art, and quality time with the peers around me
To me, the word “community” means a group of individuals that have come together to achieve a common goal. Communities are not formed based of physical traits, beliefs, or opinions, but a common goal that everyone is interested in achieving. Being a member of a community is important to me because it is important for everyone to be able to share their opinions in a safe place no matter what. In todays society, there are many issues in todays world, specifically homelessness. In Vancouver we are known for the rate of homelessness, which is why this is something I would solve if I had the opportunity. Homelessness is an ongoing issue all over the world and it is important that the people who want help can receive it.
A few things I’m looking towards this year are 1) getting my license 2) Getting a new piercing 3) Christmas, getting my license means a lot because I see it as a step to becoming more independent. My dream car is a Mini Cooper Convertible or a Volkswagen Buggie because I like the idea of a small car, especially a convertible in the summer in the sun.
Overall, I am very intrigued to see what IDS social butterfly has to offer. The category that has interested me the most is an inquiry. I feel that my question “What affect does money have on happiness” is a good open ended question that I can elaborate on.
Hi Chloe! I really enjoyed reading your post! I think it’s very cool how you want to become a plastic surgeon. Something I thought you did very well is adding photos to help our understanding, especially the photo of a comparison from an introvert to an extrovert. For the future I think it would help to add more detail about being excited to get a new piercing and being excited for Christmas. Overall, I thought that this post was amazing and I really like your question!
