The Inequality of Waste – Post #2, Planing out Project

Question: How much do we really use and what are the impacts of all the things we don’t?

to investigate and answer my question I will first break it down and organize my research into 3 separate parts

Part 1 – Defining and setting up foundation

In the first part I will ask:

  • What is considerdered waste?
  • What are all the different aspects of waste?
  • Who contributes to it?
  • Where does it end up?

This will help me understand what’s being wasted and how. It’ll set up the foundation to find and solve the problem

Some places I to start my research:

Part 2 – What causes it and why

In the second part I will ask:

  • Why do we waste?
  • How do/does —– affect this?
    • Cultural/Social habits
    • Economic systems
    • Distributional and even infrastructural systems
    • Stigmas

This will help me get to the root of the problem by explaining why.

Part 3 – Consequences, solutions, and impacts

In the third part I will ask:

  • What/Who does it affect?
  • What are past, present and future consequences?
  • What are some solutions?
  •  How would these solutions work?
  • What would be the positive impacts of change?

This will chose us what we could strive towards in the future.

Some places I to start my research:

This problem affects everybody. Some more, like the people that live where we dump our waste; others less, like me who contributes to this global problem. Anyhow the ripple of these issue affects you no matter where you are, who you are or how much you consume.
