In my second blog post, I will be choosing the three steps in which I will reach a satisfactory conclusion to my inquiry question. Instead of addressing a question which requires multiple different answers in a confusing process, I will be splitting the workload via splitting the current question into 3 blog posts. Each blog post will answer an aspect of my question and once all three blog posts have been done I will have succinctly answered my question.

1st step: For my first step I plan on finding all the relevant data I need to answer my question, I will research data and dilute the information into the blog post allowing me to access said information as needed.

2nd step: In my second step, I will focus on income inequality and how it adversely affects a society, I will also talk about how income inequality has been growing worse over the years via showing the statistical data.

3rd step: For my third step, I plan on writing about solutions available to combat income inequality and the positive benefits that come with a more equal society. I will discuss why the status quote has remained for so long and how we can change it.

The five sources

WIkipedia:Although Wikipedia is sometimes regarded as an untrustworthy and unreliable source, most of the articles were written by experts and thoroughly fact checked which is why I believe it is a good source.

Brittanica: Brittanica is a an online encyclopedia which is seen as being extremely reliable. All information contained within Brittanica is fact checked by experts and held to the highest standards. Brittanica is also used by over 4000 universities which makes it one of the most reliable sources of information.

Investopedia: Investopedia is one of the most popular finance sites which provides information about finances and economics. Its information is derived from experts and the information within the site is written in a very digestible way. Each article is written by an author, reviewed by someone else then fact checked with an expert which is why I trust the informatin contained in Investopedia

Statistics Canada: Statistics Canada is a website which aims to provide accurate statistics about Canada. The website is funded and managed by the federal government which is why it is considered a reliable source of information. I will be using this site to find statistics relevant to my research and to provide statistical data within my blog posts.

Bank of Canada: The bank of Canada does have research papers which will greatly aid me on my blog posts, they are trustworthy due to it being owned by the government and also being the central bank of Canada. Because they are the central bank, all data coming from them are fact-checked by experts and presumably uses many sources as references. Because of all of these factors, the Bank of Canada is extremley trustworthy in providing accurate information.

Impact on me and my community: This question will allow me and all others whom read this to gain an insight into the topic of wealth inequality, my blog posts will also spread awareness of wealth inequality which will make my community more aware on how to stop wealth inequality and hopefully be able to use this knowledge to combat wealth inequality. For me, I will be able to further learn about the Canadian economy and learn more about wealth inequality and its solutions.

  1. This topic is not often discussed among students, which is why I think it’s great you chose this as your inquiry question. I liked how you split the workload logically amongst the 3 blog posts. Here’s an article I used for a research project about income in 2025 in the summer: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/statistics-canada-income-gap-1.7586634. Hope this can help. In future blog posts, it would be really helpful if you could bold or underline the main idea or important words of a paragraph to highlight your point.

  2. Nice job on this post, I really enjoyed reading into this topic further on as it plays a huge toll on today`s economy. I liked how you explained the values of each of your sources and look forward to seeing more of your following posts!

  3. Wow! I think that this post was really insightful! I love that you were so indicative of how your topics relates to the questions you’ve chosen! Next time, I would focus less on images, and incorporate more content by disincluding them, but great job overall! I look forward to reading your next posts!

  4. I appreciate how organized your plan is for your future blog posts! I love how specific and thought out each blog plan. As another question or something to consider, how has social media influenced how people view wages and wage gap/ value of different jobs? I appreciate how you’ve included sources and reasoning on why you’ve included them.
