Hi! My name is Andrea Vrnoga. I am 15 years old and a grade 10 student at École Dr. Charles Best Secondary School in Coquitlam, BC, Canada. My favourite subject is science because I enjoy learning how things work and understanding why they happen. This is my second year doing Social Responsibility, and I’m looking forward to doing my projects!
My family values respect, honesty, kindness, and supporting each other. My family is from Serbia and Croatia, so we visit there every couple of years to spend time with our relatives. My culture is a very important part of who I am. One of my passions is travelling because I love exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and making new memories. Another passion I have is playing volleyball. My passion is volleyball because I enjoy playing with my team and working together to achieve our goals. I like how volleyball challenges me to improve my skills and push myself. It has taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and perseverance. I also enjoy the friendships I have made through volleyball, and I like that there is always something new to learn and improve. Something that may surprise people about me is that I like reading books. I don’t have that much time to read, but when I do have time, I really enjoy it. My strongest trait is that I am hardworking because I always try my best and make sure I finish what I start.

To me, global community means people from different countries and cultures connecting, respecting each other, and working together to make the world a better place. If I could solve any global problem, I would solve climate change because it affects people, animals, and the environment around the world. I think everyone should have a safe and healthy environment to live in. To relax I like to listen to music, go to the gym, watch a tv show/movie, read or spend time with friends. These activities help me reduce stress and clear my mind.

I am most interested in the inquiry project because I like choosing a question that I am curious about and then doing different rounds of research to find answers. I enjoy learning new information and going deeper into a topic instead of just learning the basics. I also like that I can choose a topic that interests me and explore it more over time.
Thank you for reading my about me post!
