All About Me -Isabella

Hi there! My name is Isabella, and I live in Coquitlam, British Columbia, and go to Dr. Charles Best Secondary. I am currently in grade 11, and this is my third year attending IDS. My favourite subjects are science and art because I find both quite challenging but enjoyable in their own ways.

I am very excited to meet the new people who joined IDS and begin researching my inquiry project on procrastination. I find a way to express myself in art and find it relaxing and something I enjoy doing to take a break from stress or challenges that I may be having. I also enjoy science because it allows me to solve complex problems and learn more about our bodies and the universe around us.

One of my passions is colouring. I have always liked to colour since I was younger and found it something I would often do when I felt bored. Now, I like to watch television series or movies when I colour, and I find it both relaxing and entertaining.  One attribute or trait of mine that I think is quite strong is my ability to communicate with others and get what I am trying to say to them clearly and efficiently through email or through in-person conversations.

Now, I will be addressing some questions about what the word “community” means to me, what I like to do in my free time, and what my place is in my community. To me, the word “community” means a group of people who create a safe and welcoming place where I can find a sense of belonging and be a place where I can ask for help or advice. When I see the word “community”, I see a place that is warm and comforting. I think my place in my community is to support others, such as my friends and family, and make an impact on it by volunteering.

Usually, in my free time, I like to read comics, colour, take walks in the parks with my family, hang out with friends and family members, and take naps in the afternoon to recharge my energy. This is a little bit about me, and I hope you found out some interesting things about me through reading this blog post. Thank you for reading!
