I’ve chosen to do inquiry this semester, and here is my following question:
Why is religion essential for a society?
I chose this question because it makes people think and dive deeper into where our social values and views of right and wrong come from. It prompts discussion about how religion influences us as whole, our ethics, and if we’re even able to survive without it. Overall, it helps to understand the grave impact religion has and continues to have on our culture and social order, making it an important question about the foundations of our society’s structure.
Since I’m aware of the way religion is criticized and objected against in modern society, my intention for this question is to provide a somewhat of a rational argument. My goal is to prove why religion remains not only relevant, but increasingly necessary in this day and age. After all, I truly believe religion should still hold an important place in our lives because of its impact on our daily lives even if we may not know it.
