The Inquiry Question I picked:
Why do certain memories stay with us longer than others?
2. Why is this question interesting to me?
I am interested in this question because I find it fascinating how the human brain works and how people remember certain experiences but forget others. For example, people can remember important moments from years ago but sometimes forget information they learned recently. I wonder why some memories stay clear in our minds while others slowly fade away. I want to understand how memories are formed and how factors such as emotions, repetition, and personal experiences affect what we remember. I am also curious about why emotional experiences can sometimes be easier to remember than everyday events. Learning about memory could help me understand how people learn, study, and remember information in school. It could also help me discover ways to improve my own memory and understand why different people can remember the same experience differently. Through this project, I hope to learn more about the human brain and the science behind how memories are created, stored, and forgotten.
