Blog #1 – Why do people love love and why is it found everywhere? | Introduction

Header Photo is “Le Tit” (The Bed) by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, C. 1892; Toulouse was disabled and could still paint a masterpiece. You never need AI for any art.

The inquiry question I chose was “Why do people love love and why is it found everywhere?”, or, its more metaphorical title, “The underlying purpose to life.” Love is one of my biggest morals, and I believe everyone deserves the feeling of such in their life. But what many people don’t realize is how much love appears in our lives. I don’t just mean in reality, I mean everywhere, especially media. From movies, to video games, to music, nearly everything with a story has some kind of romantic element hidden inside of it; and I intend to explain to you why love is so prevalent.

The Painter’s Honeymoon by Frederic Leighton, c. 1864; Leighton often painted nude paintings. This one is more tender compared to his other works.

I also intend to explain the intricacies of love, and how we show it to one another; the awkwardness of young love, the masks we wear when it comes to impressing a lover, and other various actions are all things we do to achieve that odd warmth in our hearts. While I’m mainly going to talk about romantic love, I will be touching up on things such as parental love, heartbreak, obsessive love, and passion (the love for a hobby or action.) Expect a lot of references to different pieces of media, as it is the best example of how much we value and use love in our daily lives. I really mean it when I say that everything with a story has some kind of love. Your story, too, has just as much.
