My story, “Room 201”, features a male main character (name TBD). The story is set in a solitary confinement cell, where the protagonist is being held. I think withholding the reason he is there will add to the scary element later on.
The point of attack for the main character will be noticing subtle, but off-putting coincidences within his cell. The first rising action will be trying to figure out the problem himself, and the second will be involving the staff.
The climax will evidently be an attack of the scary, unearthly presence. This will lead to the falling action, where we can see the phycological effects and consequences of the bizarre situation. I do not intend for the protagonist to “win”, and the mystery what exactly has happened will hopefully add to the scary ambiance.
