Inquiry Question:
How does music influence mood and productivity?
Why This Question Interests Me:
Music is a constant presence in daily life, whether in the background while studying, playing during workouts, or setting the tone for relaxation. I’ve noticed that certain songs can instantly lift my mood, while others help me focus. This made me curious about the actual science behind it—does music truly affect emotions and productivity, or is it just a personal perception?
As a student balancing academics, extracurriculars, and leadership roles, I always seek ways to improve concentration and efficiency. If music can enhance productivity, understanding which types work best could be a valuable tool. Additionally, since mood plays a big role in motivation and overall well-being, I want to explore how different genres or tempos impact emotions.
This inquiry connects psychology, neuroscience, and personal experience, making it both academically intriguing and practically useful. Through this project, I hope to gain insights that I can apply to my own life while also sharing useful information with others.
