Blog post# 4: Round research 2- What are advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence.

Hello everyone, I’m back with my fourth blog post. Today, we are going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence to human beings. This topic is very important because it is going to help us to understand and differentiate good things and limitations that AI has brought in today’s world.

What I found out:

ADVANTAGES

1 Digital assistance.

Digital assistants are employed by most advanced companies to interact with users, reducing manpower. Many websites use digital assistants to deliver content based on users’ requests, enabling us to have conversational searchers. Some chat boards are so advanced that is difficult to tell whether we’re communicating with a human or a machine.(Shweta Parikh 2023)

2 Automation

In our daily work, we perform many repetitive tasks, such as checking documents for flaws and mailing thank-you note. AI may efficiently automate these basic chores and even eliminate ‘boring’ tasks for people, allowing them to focus and be more creative.

3 Dailly applications.

Today, our everyday lives depend entirely on mobile devices and the internet. We utilize a variety apps, including Google Maps, taking selfies, making calls, responding to emails, and many more, using various AI-based techniques We can also incorporate today’s weather and the days ahead.

4 Medical applications.

AI has also made contributions to medicine, with application ranging from diagnosis and treatment to applications ranging from diagnosis and treatment to drug discovery and clinical trials. AI-powered tools can help doctors and researchers analyze patients’ data and develop personalized treatment plans.

5 Better decisions.

AI enhances decision-making by analyzing and identifying patterns and insights that might be missed by humans. This decision improves efficiency, reduces errors, and ultimately leads to better outcomes.(Itellians 2025)

DISADVANTAGES

1. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Training large AI models requires enormous computational power, leading to significant energy consumption. This energy usage contributes to carbon emissions and places additional stress on the environment. As AI continues to grow, the environmental impact becomes a pressing concern, making sustainable practices in AI development increasingly necessary.

2. Bias and Discrimination in AI Systems

AI systems learn from the data they are trained on. Unfortunately, if this data contains biases, the AI will adopt and amplify these biases. Whether it’s gender, racial, or socioeconomic biases, these prejudices can lead to unfair outcomes in hiring processes, credit scoring, and even criminal justice applications. The impact of biased AI systems raises ethical and fairness concerns. [

3 Leads to job displacement.

Rise in AI automation technologies poses a substantial risk to employment, particularly in industries reliant on routine and repetitive tasks. Job manufacturing, customer service, and even specific professional sectors like legal research or medical diagnosis are increasingly being automated, leading to job displacement.

4 Lack of creativity.

AI often lacks the creativity of humans, which stems from emotional depth, abstract thinking, and imagination processes. While creativity by generating art, musing, or writing based on patterns, it doesn’t possess genuine originality or the ability to think outside the box.

5 Encourages laziness.

The increasing reliance on AI for tasks ranging from mundance chores to complex decision making can lead to laziness. As AI systems take over those responsibilities, individuals might become less inclined to develop their skills and knowledge, relying excessively on technology. This dependency can diminish critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Blog post# 5: Round research 3- What are implications of Artificial Intelligence?

Hello, everyone. Today, we are going to discuss the significance of artificial intelligence to humans. I hope that after reading this, you will understand the effects that AI has on humans.

1. REDUCING HUMAN ERROR.

One of AI’s key benefits is its ability to greatly reduce human errors and enhance accuracy. AI systems make decisions based on extensive data and well-defined algorithms. When properly programmed, the margin for error can be extremely low. For instance, robotic surgery systems are capable of performing intricate procedures with remarkable precision.

2. ZERO RISKS.

AI-powered robots can take on hazardous tasks that would be risky for humans, such as exploring outer space or conducting deep-sea missions. Unlike humans, machines are built to withstand extreme environments and carry out tasks with high precision. E example is the Mars rover, which consists of AI-powered robots that excel in hazardous tasks unsuitable for humans, such as space exploration or deep-sea missions. Their robust design enables them to withstand extreme environments and perform tasks with high precision, as exemplified by the Mars rover. Moreover, AI enhances its problem-solving capabilities, allowing it to adapt to unforeseen challenges and make autonomous decisions in real-time. In manufacturing, robots equipped with AI can optimize production processes, detect defects with greater accuracy, and collaborate safely with human workers, leading to increased efficiency and improved product quality. The integration of AI into robotics is thus revolutionizing various industries, paving the way for safer, more efficient, and innovative solutions.

3. ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

Research indicates that humans are typically productive for only 3 to 4 hours a Research suggests humans are typically productive for only 3-4 hours daily and require regular breaks and time off to maintain work-life balance. In contrast, AI systems can continuously operate without fatigue. They process information faster than humans and can handle simultaneously with consistent accuracy Humans are typically productive for only 3-4 hours daily and require breaks and time off to maintain work-life balance, whereas AI systems can operate continuously without fatigue, processing information faster and handling multiple tasks simultaneously with consistent accuracy.

4 DIGITAL ASSISTANCE.

AI is a key driver of innovation, enabling solutions to complex problems across various fields. For instance, recent advancements in AI technology have empowered doctors to detect breast cancer earlier, at more treatable stages. Similarly, the development of self-driving cars showcases how AI is transforming industries and redefining the nature of transportation, driving innovation by enabling solutions to complex problems across fields. For example, AI empowers earlier breast cancer detection and fuels the development of self-driving cars, transforming industries like transportation.

5. HEALTH CARE.

AI has greatly advanced the fields of medicine, playing a vital role in diagnosis, treatment, drug discovery, and clinical trials. By analyzing patient data, AI tools assist doctors and researchers in identifying health risks and creating personalized treatment plans. This leads to improved patient outcomes and accelerates the development of new medical technologies, significantly enhancing medicine by aiding diagnosis, treatment, drug discovery, and clinical trials. Analyzing patient data, AI helps identify risks and personalize treatments, improving outcomes and accelerating medical innovation.(Foresee medical 2025)
