Blog Post 1- “Why do people procrastinate even when they know it hurts them?”

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first blog post of the year.

This semester I chose to do an inquiry question. The question I chose is “Why do people procrastinate even when they know it hurts them?” .

I find this question interesting because it’s something I see in myself and almost everyone around me, especially students. We all talk about how stressed we are or how we “should’ve started earlier,” but we keep repeating the same pattern. I want to understand what’s really going on in our brains when we procrastinate, is it because we’re lazy, tired, overwhelmed, or scared of failing? Figuring that out could actually help people manage their time better and feel less stressed. It’s a question that connects to real life and how we deal with motivation, emotions, and pressure every day.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed!
