Does society influence fashion or is it the other way around? Hi, my name is Lina and with this blog post, I hope to continue my search for the answer to my question. I want to find the true root of fashion in different stages of history.
In my following blog posts, I will be researching 3 historical time periods and the fashion during these times. I will be researching if the fashion in these times were influenced by or influencing society by finding 3 historical events from this time period and fashion’s influence.
In my first round of research, I will be researching the 1960-1980’s and I will be focusing on the topic of how fashion impacted and was impacted by the women’s rights movement.
I will be doing the same for my next time period which is the 1990’s-2010 which focuses on societal beauty standards during this time.
The final decade the 2020’s I will talk about the implications of fast fashion and micro trends on our society and how fashion has changed and stayed the same throughout these time periods.
