Inquiry Question: Is progress always a good thing?
For my first round of research, I will look at going deeper into what the definition of progress is, so that we have a starting point before going even deeper into the rest of the question. For example, the word progress can be used to describe good things like technology usage going up but with that, the environment is slowly getting worse.
For my second round of research, I will look into the intended vs unintended consequences of progress. Researching that will help provide real-life examples to help people really understand what I’m trying to explain. It will also show the ups and downs of progress.
And finally for my third round of research i will look at how we can evaluate if progress is good or bad. This one will really start to from a true answer by showing things like who benefits most and if it’s fair, are some types of progress more worth it than others, things like that.
