Reasons for this inquiry
I chose this inquiry question because it is highly relevant to my country and many parts of the world where arid and semi-arid conditions are common. People living in these areas often face serious challenges such as drought, low crop yields, and food shortages. This made me interested in finding out whether these regions can be transformed into productive agricultural areas.
I am also concerned about food security, especially as the population continues to grow, and I wanted to explore how unused or underused land can help solve this problem. In addition, climate change is making many areas drier, so understanding how to adapt agriculture to these conditions is very important.
