BLOG POST#3 :WHAT IS THE OZONE LAYER AND THE MAJOR CAUSES OF IT’S DEPLETION 🫣

Effects of ozone depleting chemicals: Chemicals such as CFCs breaker down molecule’s in the stratosphere . Although control measures are being taken ,some chemical’s are still lingering in the atmosphere leading to further depletion of the zone. this chemicals radiate UV radiation in the stratosphere. Reduction in the ozone leads to the increase in the amount of Uv radiation passing to the earths surface🧐

Illegal productions and emission’s of harmful chemicals: There are cases of illegal production and emission’s of chemicals .These harmful chemicals may alter atmospheric reactions leading to the reduction in the ozone recovery

Long atmospheric life spans: Many ozone depleting chemicals remain in the atmosphere for 50-100 years this means that past emission’s continue to damage the ozone layer even though control measures have been applied there is many gaseous chemicals still lingering in the atmosphere due to there long life spans. Illegal production of these chemicals is still continuing in different parts of the world

Chemical change interruptions‘: Green house gases affect temperatures rate in the atmosphere which intern changes the atmospheric circulation. This can influence how the ozone forms and breaks down.🫣🫣
