BLOG POST 5; HOW CANCER ADAPT TO THE NEW ENVIROMENT AND FROM SECONDERY TUMOR?

Cancer cells adapt their new environment through various mechanism

Metastasis; cancer escape the primary tumor site and travel through the lymphatic system to form new tumor. The process involves change in cell motility and invention capabilities, allowing them to survive in new environments.

Evolvability; cancer can evolve and adopt to their surroundings, developing new traits and behavior that enables them to survive and thrive in tumor microenvironment.

Crosstalk with environment; cancer interact with their surroundings, including non-cancerous stromal cell. which can sense changes in tumor environment and convey information to cancer cell. This crosstalk is crucial for the progression of cancer and metastasis.

Hallmarks of cancer; the hallmarks of cancer, such as sustained proliferation, evasion of growth suppressors and resistance to cell death. there are adaptations that enable cancer cell to survive and proliferate in tumor ecosystem;

They programme their signaling pathways to cope with stressor like oxidative stress.

Damage -induce senescence can activate pathways, affecting cell proliferation and metabolic reprogramming.

Tumor microenvironment influences cancer cell behavior affecting how they form, spread and respond to treatment
