BLOG POST#4; WHAT CAUSES EXTINCTION?

Extinction is a natural part of evolution. According to earth’s history more than 99% of all species that have ever lived are now extinct.

The main reason of extinction is because of human driven activities such as cutting trees that causes global warming. The other reason is climate change this can be unpredictable rains severe droughts that are the primary factors of extinction. This natural resources are very limited that when they are killed the results becomes total extinction.

The other reason for extinction can be old age of the species. Animals can go extinct when they can no longer survive or reproduce fast enough to maintain their populations, due to natural events or human activities. Evolutionary and environmental pressure which have caused extinction over the past years.

While extinction is a normal process it influences on conserving and preserving biodiversity to prevent so many spaces from becoming extinct.

  1. Hi Ferishina,
I liked your post about extinction! I especially liked the photo you used at the end. It showed all the elements you talked about in a visual that helped me understand better. For a future post I think it’d be really cool if you could talk about animals that are the most at danger for going extinct and what we could do to help them.
If you decice to mention that in another most this site could help:
