One challenge I faced was finding reliable sources and understanding different viewpoints about progress. Some sources only talked about the positive effects, while others focused on the negative effects. I overcame this by comparing information from multiple sources and taking notes on both the benefits and drawbacks of progress.
This inquiry changed the way I think because I realized that progress is not always a good thing. While progress can improve people’s lives through new technology and discoveries, it can also create problems such as pollution, job loss, or unintended consequences. I now think it is important to consider both the positive and negative impacts of progress.

This investigation taught me to think more carefully before deciding whether something is truly beneficial. In the future, I will look at both the advantages and disadvantages of new developments instead of assuming that all progress is automatically good.
This investigation can help others understand that progress affects people in different ways. Locally, it may encourage people to think about how new developments impact their community. Globally, it can help people consider the environmental, social, and economic effects of progress before making important decisions.
