Hello everyone! My question this semester was what are the physiological and psychological effects of technology addiction?
Today, we will be reflecting on how this project made me overcome challenges, changed the way I thought, impacted my future decisions, and impacted others around me to finish off this semester!

Question 1: Tackling Obstacles
For this semester, I really struggled with turning in my assignments on time, and although I set the same goal last term, I feel that I haven’t really improved on the way I handle coming assignments, especially for this class. I tackled most of my homework by setting reminders on my phone, and spending lunchtime at school to dedicate time to finishing work, but for next year, I plan to step it up by furthering my system of remember what’s coming up to be done.

Question 2: Changing My Thinking
Learning more about technology addiction really made me ponder about the time I spend on social media. Since researching this topic more in depth, I feel that my time for reading, sports and other hobbies has gone up, due to a newfound knowledge about what the harmful effects of social media are. I feel that, during this project, my mindset has shifted from thinking more about my next Instagram post, to what I can do with my spare time.

Question 3: Impact On Future Decisions
During the time that I have spent writing this project, I have come to realize a lot about how apps are designed, and as a result, have deleted apps that I know will make me feel unfulfilled and depressed, simply by design. This project has impacted my future decisions by making me think more about which apps I want to keep in my phone to make me a better person overall!

Question 4: Impact On Others
In the time that I have spent on this project, I have educated a lot of my family about the harms of using social media, AI, and even messaging apps. As a result, my whole family has become more aware about what they are being made to consume, and are more mindful about the content they scroll through. Also, by collaborating with friends on similar projects, I have also come to recognize the signs of addiction to tech, and am able to spot symptoms in my friends so that they too can get the help they deserve! In conclusion, this semester has taught me many valuable things about technology and how it is designed, and I hope to continue sharing this information with those around me to help spread the word!
Thank you guys for an awesome year of reading and writing these blog posts! I hope to see you all next year! Bye!
