For my inquiry project, I decided to research the question: How did Cornell University’s response to the Cornell 7 incident raise questions about accountability and student safety? I chose this topic because it involves serious allegations and raises questions about how universities deal with situations that affect their students. When something serious happens on a university campus, the way the school responds can have a big impact on the people involved and the trust other students have in the school. I want to understand how universities are expected to handle these situations and what it means for them to be held accountable for their decisions.
I am interested in this topic because I want to learn more about the details of the Cornell 7 incident and how it was handled.
