Blog Post #2 – What happens when someone’s emotions bottle up?

Hello and welcome! Here is my blog post #2 where I’ll be planning out my blog posts!

Here are my 3 steps for my project planning:

Firstly, I will research on why people bottle their emotions. I think it’s good to start with this because it will lead to more paths I can branch out to, such as “What happens to the emotions that may get forgotten, and do they come back as an after thought?”

Next, I will learn more about the limbic system, which is the part of our brain that controls emotions. This includes the amygdala, hypothalamus and a few other parts.

Finally, I plan to analyze myself and perhaps others when we experience negative or even positive feelings. I know that I’ve certainly had some bad episodes of exploding out and becoming a big mess. I think this is a crucial step because not only is it good to find out why, but it is also great to have a physical understanding of what could be going on. Asking “Do I know what I’m doing to myself when I bottle up my emotions?” or “Do I realize if this ‘problem’ is affecting people around me?” would be very helpful.

Implications for my community and me

Hopefully, this project will help me have a better understanding of others when they don’t want to be talked to, or perhaps when someone is isn’t in their best mood I can read their emotions. I’ve always found emotions so fascinating, and if I could read someone’s emotions, that would be so cool! But for real, I think that this question will really help me figure out the reason I can get so mad and have a full meltdown once every while. I hope you all enjoy emotions as much as I do and that you may feel the same captivation it radiates to me, and keep following along!

Thank you for reading!
