About me Vashti

My name is Vashti and I’m 15 years old, I am currently a student at Dr. Charles best senior secondary school. I live in Coquitlam BC and I have my whole life, my favorite subject in school is science and I hope to do something with science when I graduate.

Something about me that might come as a surprise to others is that my family owns an ice cream shop. We opened it in 2018 and its named after me (Vashti Rose). The shop has helped me build some of my strongest attributes which are public speaking and making conversation. I enjoy talking to all different types of people as everyone has a different perspective on the world. Some of my biggest passions are baking and cooking. I didn’t know I was good at baking or cooking until a few years ago but they quickly turned into my biggest passions.

If I could have any job right now I would chose to become a virologist. The reason I want to be a virologist is because I find understanding viruses very interesting from how they work to how they’re spread to and how they can be stopped. I want to be able to find treatments for disease in a lab and help people get the treatment they need. I also want to teach the public about dieses and help people prevent themselves from getting sick.

The category in Butterfly effect that I’m most interested in is Inquiry. I’m most interested in Inquiry as I’m naturally a pretty curious person so I will take the opportunity to research my interests whenever I can. I like to understand what is happing with the world, other people, and whatever my latest interest is. This is why when I found out I could do a project on my interests I got excited and this is why inquiry interests me the most.
