Hello, my name is Ihan and for my S1 Inquiry Project I chose the question: “How do our passions shape who we are and influence the choices we make?”
This question interests me because I’ve noticed that the things people care deeply about often play a big role in how they live their lives. I want to understand how passions help define a person’s identity and how they impact the decisions we make every day – whether it’s choosing a career, setting goals, or even forming friendships. When someone is truly passionate about something, it often becomes a core part of who they are and how others perceive them as people. I’ve noticed that people to follow their passions tend to be more motivated, confident and fulfilled because they are doing something that feels meaningful to them.
I’m also curious about how my own interests and passions might shape my future and help me become the person I want to be. Exploring this topic can help me better understand myself and others on a deeper level. Personally, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’m passionate about and how those interests might influence the choices I make in the future, like what I want to study, what career I might pursue, or how I want to spend my time outside of school. Sometimes it can be hard to know whether to follow a passion or to choose something more practical, and I think this question can help me explore that balance.
I’m also interested in how passions can affect not only major life decisions but also our everyday behaviors and attitudes. For example, someone who’s passionate about protecting the environment might choose to live more sustainably or become involved in activism.
