One of the challenges I faced during this inquiry project was finding reliable and relevant information about homelessness and housing policies. There is a lot of information online, but not all of it is clear, accurate, or directly related to the topic I was researching. Sometimes different sources had different statistics or opinions, which made it harder to understand what information was the most trustworthy. Another challenge was narrowing down my research because homelessness is a very complex issue with many different causes, like the cost of housing, mental health issues, and lack of support services. At first I found a lot of information, but it was difficult to decide which parts were the most important to focus on for my project.
To overcome these challenges, I tried to focus on more reliable sources such as government websites, news articles, and organizations that work on homelessness. These sources usually had clearer explanations and more detailed information about housing policies and the causes of homelessness.

This inquiry changed the way I think about homelessness because before I started researching, I didn’t realize how complicated the issue really is. I used to think homelessness was mostly about people not having enough money for housing, but I learned that there are many different factors involved. Things like the high cost of living, mental health struggles, lack of affordable housing, and limited support services can all play a role. It made me realize that homelessness is not just one simple problem with one simple solution.
It also made me think more about how government housing policies can affect people’s lives. In places like Vancouver, housing prices and rent can be very high, which makes it difficult for some people to find stable housing. Because of this project, I understand that creating more affordable and supportive housing could make a big difference. Overall, this inquiry helped me see homelessness in a more thoughtful way and understand that solving it requires multiple solutions and support from the community and government.

This investigation impacted my future decisions by making me more aware of the issue of homelessness and how serious it is. It made me think more about supporting organizations that help people experiencing homelessness. Even small things like donating, volunteering, or spreading awareness can make a difference. Overall, this project helped me understand that homelessness is an important issue, and it made me more likely to pay attention to it and support solutions in the future.

This project could have an impact on others by helping spread awareness about homelessness and housing issues. By sharing the information I learned, the people i presented to might better understand how serious the problem is and why affordable housing and support services are important. When more people are informed about an issue, they are more likely to talk about it and support possible solutions.
Globally, homelessness is also a problem in many different countries, not just in one city. Research like this can help people see that housing affordability and access to support services are challenges faced in many places around the world. Even though my project was small, sharing information and raising awareness can encourage others to learn more about the issue and think about ways communities and governments can help reduce homelessness.
