Blog post 1- How do different foods affect your health?

This is my first blog post of term 2. I for my inquiry to be about how different foods can affect you health. This includes your physical and mental health. My main focus for this project will be to determine why certain foods might affect you a certain way, and how too much of one food can be bad for your health. I am an athlete, so I will also be looking into the ideal foods and meals for an athlete.

I chose this as an inquiry question for mainly 2 reasons. The first one being that I really love eating, and it is something that I find comfort in doing. I want to find different meals that are nutritious and delicious for me to enjoy. The second reason is that I am an athlete, and I must eat very well to have enough energy to play, the issue is that finding the perfect portions and kinds of food is difficult, for I am also a picky eater. This is to find foods that I will love eating and that will help me have the energy needed to get through the day.

As I was also saying in my introduction, I would also like to do a little research about how eating different foods can affect your mental health. How it might also affect your mood. Another interesting piece of research would be how you choose your comfort foods, and why you might enjoy eating them.

Overall, I believe that this is a topic that I will very much enjoy doing my research project on, and I am very excited to get started on this amazing journey of food research.
