Blog Post #2

Hi guys welcome to my second blog post. Today I will talk to you guys about my action plan for answering the thought provoking question that is my inquiry project.

Just as a refresher i will remind you guys what my question is and why i chose it. My question is If our imaginations are formed by what we’ve seen and experienced, can anyone truly create something original, and if so who or what defines originality? I chose this question because I was sitting in my living room a couple weeks ago and I realized that whenever I try to create a new story or think of a new idea for a school project it’s usually loosely based on something I’ve read, or watched and that’s when i wondered what counts as originality.

Here are my 3 steps.

  1. My first step is to gather knowledge. I will do this by watching to videos, listening to podcasts and reading articles about topics that a similar to mine. This is an important step because i can’t answer a question I know nothing about.
  2. My second step is to write down all the information that i got in a notebook and cite the sites. This will be helpful because it will help me keep track of all the information that pertains to my specific question.
  3. My Third step is to ask people around me what they think. This will be helpful because it will help me see this question from a different point of view.

  4. ‪originality‬‎ – ‪Search results‬‎ – ‪Explora Canada‬‎: This is another search engine owned by the district and it has quite a bit of information on what constitutes as originallity.
  5. Google/Youtube: I can look for videos and articles but unlike the school sources i have to be more careful with the articles i find here and I have to make sure they are credible.
