The reason I chose this question is to understand the effect ;if the earth stop rotating it would the centrifugal force that contributes to the planets slight bulging.
I am interested in this topic because it involves the study of space and also how the planets operates. How the atmospheric and oceanic current are affected moreover day and night cycle.
This will cause the earth to have darkness throughout and stops deflection of winds. Furthermore it will be impactive because the time will be equal in the whole world.
If the rotation stop there will be no ocean current hence there will lead to severe and widespread disruption. The immediate effect would include the cessation of be no tsunami .The atmosphere and ocean will be held in place by gravity that would affect the direction of the wind. The Coriolis effect which influence wind direction ,would disappear leading to extreme weather condition.
The lack of rotation would affect earth magnetic field which protects the earth planet from harmful solar and cosmic radiation.
It will be a happy moment to me at the end of research I will be able to understand some of the effect of earth rotation.
