Butterfly Effect Introduction Profile

Basics About Me

My name is Aria, and I’m a Grade 10 student-athlete at Charles Best in Coquitlam. My favorite classes are PE and Culinary Arts because I like being active, working on hands-on projects, and taking a break from sitting at a desk all day.

Surprising Traits & Personal Passions

My biggest passion is sports, especially playing Metro soccer as well as school soccer and basketball. It takes up a lot of my time, but it keeps me driven and teaches me how to grind through tough challenges. Something that might surprise people about me is that when I’m not on the field or court, I’m really into painting, food science, and media projects. I love getting creative in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes, or just losing track of time working on a canvas.

Community & Free Time

To me, community is all about creating a supportive space where people push each other to grow and succeed together. I see my place in the community as a team player and a mentor, whether that means lifting up my teammates during a game or volunteering at youth sports camps to coach younger kids. When I have free time to relax, I like hanging out with friends and family, trying out new recipes, painting, and traveling whenever I get the chance to experience new places and foods.

Butterfly Effect Category: Inquiry

Out of the three Butterfly Effect categories, I’m definitely most interested in Inquiry. I’ve always been the type of person who likes asking big questions, figuring out how things work behind the scenes, and getting to the bottom of why things are the way they are. Diving into inquiry lets me explore new ideas on my own terms, push my thinking, and make smarter decisions that can lead to positive changes around me.
