Hi everyone, this is my first blog so thank you so much for reading! For my butterfly effect, I decided to do the inquiry project. I was thinking of doing something about modern feminism or a social commentary for my inquiry question so eventually I landed on the question: How has feminism shaped the structure of moderate society?
This question is interests me because most of all I’m a woman, just like half of the world’s population, who is affected by the actions made by powerful women, for the rights that I have today – these are the effects of feminism.
Despite this great truth, feminism is a topic that is a controversial and is often misinterpreted and misrepresented. Especially on social media, it’s so easy to see misinformation and dodgy examples of “feminism”, which is concerning in an age where so much every day learning comes from random people online. I want to learn what feminism really is at its core, find out why it can be very controversial around certain groups, and finally addressed criticisms about this thought process
