Question: How does sleep and what you do beforehand affect your body, and mind?

This question interests me because sleep is something everyone experiences, yet many people don’t fully understand how important it is. I’ve noticed that when I don’t get enough sleep, I feel more tired, unfocused, and sometimes even more stressed, which makes me wonder what is actually happening in the body and brain. It’s interesting to explore how sleep affects things like memory, mood, and physical health, and why it can have such a big impact on daily performance. Learning more about this could help explain why good sleep habits are so important and how they influence overall well-being.

I also think this topic is important because a lot of people, especially students, don’t always get enough sleep due to busy schedules, homework, or spending time on their phones. This makes me curious about the long-term effects of sleep deprivation and whether it can impact things like academic success, mental health, and physical growth. By researching this question, I hope to better understand how sleep works and how making small changes to sleep habits could improve overall health and daily life.

Personally, I struggle with getting enough sleep at night; or I will stay up late to cram for a test. But how effective is it really, and would it be more effective instead to get more rest? Building on this, does what you do before bed affect your sleep quality? So will studying affect your quality of sleep, for better or for worse?
